Artist Statement

I am a primarily figurative painter beginning to develop my own visual language. My subjects are often contemplative and restful and tend to evoke subtle narratives within the viewers.  I am most concerned with conveying a natural visual experience.  I continue to explore and experiment in order to imbue a psychological element to my work. I have been exploring the landscape as well, and have begun to love painting en plein air.
